Dazasya in sanskrit means Service. Dazasya was formed on the 28 July 2007 during BarCamp Bangalore.  

Why Dazasya?

Today’s technology has made this world flat and it has become a village. Communication, Travel, connecting with people anywhere on this planet earth have all become easy. Well, this is for most of us who live in the top of the pyramidcities/countries. There are many people in this world (definitely more than 70% of the world population) who still do not have access to basic amenities. 

India has a population of over a Billion people. Many things have changed a lot and we have come a long way since our independence in 1947. There are many not-for-profit organizations and many individuals who have sacrificed their lives to uplift the quality of lives of millions of people in the country. 

Dazasya is an attempt to bring together these individuals who made a difference, who are working towards creating a difference and who wish to contribute to make a difference to people’s lives.

The site is categorized into three sections - Society, Technology, Entrepreneurship.

Society - Bring to light the various issues/concerns/models which if addressed can change the way we live. In the Society section, you can read/understand/share your thoughts of what is being done and what can be achieved.

Technology - How can technology help create models which can better our tomorrow?

Entrepreneurship - The various models being created today are many forms of Entrepreneurship. How can we create Enterprises / Entrepreneurs / institutions which can work together?

Dazasya Wiki - The wiki helps in sharing ideas in an open forum. Bringing like mind’s together.
